Methodology. CVDD (Cumulative Value Days Destroyed) is the cumulative sum of daily Value-Days-Destroyed divided by the square of the age of Bitcoin in days (since the 2009-01-03 genesis block). Daily VDD = Σ over spent outputs of (USD value × days since those coins last moved) — a measure of the dollar-weighted coin age being destroyed. The CVDD Ratio = BTC price ÷ CVDD. The red dashed line at ratio = 1.0 marks where price has historically touched CVDD at major bear-market capitulations (2015, 2018, 2022) — the orange arrows mark the closest ratio touches. Data: daily 2010-08-17 → 2026-08-03, snapshot of LookIntoBitcoin's CVDD series (Glassnode-sourced on-chain data) with daily close price; ratio computed in the data file. Updated 2026-08-04.
CVDD is a cumulative on-chain metric. This page is a technical study of historical data, not investment advice.
